Comment puis-je get xrandr pour détecter les deux maps nvidia: 2 x GTX480, sortingple tête?

  • Je cours Linux Mint 16 (Petra)
  • Je cours le pilote par défaut nvidia-319 livré avec la distro
  • J'ai 2x maps GTX480
  • J'ai 3 moniteurs
  • En utilisant le pilote Nvidia, tous les moniteurs et les GPU sont pris en charge par l'utilitaire propriétaire.

J'ai xrandr 1.4, donc devrait être capable de voir les deux. Si je configure un écran X séparé et que je fais xrandr –listproviders – écran 1, je peux voir la deuxième carte. Cependant, je ne veux pas de plusieurs écrans X; Je veux être en mesure de circuler de façon transparente entre les moniteurs.

Je ne veux pas courir xinerama comme c'est une douleur dans le cou pour installer et devrait être remplacée par xrandr.

1.) Ce comportement est-il dû à la design ou à un bug? Je note à http://uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/319.12/README/randr14.html que le pilote ne prend en charge que la capacité de sortie de source; cela m'empêcherait de voir deux fournisseurs de carte différents dans xrandr?

2.) Si le premier est vrai, y a-t-il un moyen que je peux contourner?

Martin- Configuration très similaire sur ma fin, sauf avec une paire de nvidia GT9800 – vers 2008 !. Aussi un Intel HD4000 embarqué (désactivé dans le bios). xrandr n'affiche que 1 GPU, bien que tous les autres outils liés au système soient correctement signalés à la fois. ubuntu 14.04 lts bêta 2, nvidia 331.28 propriétaire

Le Saint Graal fixé pour moi la nuit dernière était: Base Mosaïque! Vide xorg.conf, nvidia x parameters du server-> Activer la mosaïque de base, puis activer chaque affichage détecté. Tout ça marche! fast multi-gpu, multipiste multi-têtes avec 1 xscreen! Mes 3 affichages sont des résolutions différentes et un est tourné portrait. Même les parameters ubuntu – Affiche correctement les 3 moniteurs.

Je suggère de mettre à niveau vers les pilotes propriétaires nvidia 331.28, soufflez votre xorg.conf, et essayez à nouveau Mosaic de base.

Ce fil m'a beaucoup aidé, mais il y avait beaucoup plus d'étapes que ce qui est décrit dans la réponse, donc je pensais laisser un commentaire avec les étapes détaillées qui ont fonctionné pour moi.

  1. Utilisez l'application "Gestionnaire de pilotes" dans "Paramètres système" pour sélectionner "nvidia-346" comme pilote (pas "nvidia-346-updates"). Cliquez sur "Appliquer les modifications". Une fois l'application terminée, rien ne se passera (rien ne sera installé, aucune invite n'apparaîtra, aucun message ne s'affichera). Redémarrez votre ordinateur (cela est nécessaire car le pilote de NVIDIA modifie apparemment le kernel et seul un redémarrage complet du système entraînera l'exécution de l'installation).
  2. Lorsque Linux Mint sera lancé après le redémarrage, Cinnamon sera cassé et seulement 2 de vos moniteurs fonctionneront. Ne vous embêtez pas à essayer de réparer Cinnamon, cela vous mènera sur un path d'installations inutiles.
  3. Lancez l'application "Terminal". Ce sera difficile quand Cinnamon est cassé parce que "Terminal" est mystérieusement manquant dans la list des applications dans la barre des tâches! Et un clic droit sur le bureau est également brisé. Le seul moyen que j'ai trouvé pour le lancer est d'utiliser le raccourci créé à l'étape 1 ou d'utiliser le raccourci keyboard Alt + F2. Lorsqu'une window vous request de taper une command à exécuter, utilisez "sudo ls" et cochez la case "Use Terminal". Lorsqu'un terminal est lancé, utilisez le raccourci keyboard Ctrl + Maj + T pour ouvrir un nouvel onglet de terminal. Vous pouvez maintenant fermer l'onglet d'origine qui attend votre mot de passe sudo. (Vous devrez le faire à chaque fois que vous voulez lancer une nouvelle window de terminal).
  4. Dans le terminal, exécutez ces commands:

    sudo apt-add-repository sudo apt-get sudo apt-get sudo apt-get install nvidia-346 nvidia-settings sudo apt-get –purge supprimer xserver-xorg-video-nouveau sudo apt- get autoremove

  5. Redémarrez votre ordinateur. Il n'y a pas de button d'interface user pour le faire, donc vous devrez lancer le sudo reboot .

  6. Lorsque l'ordinateur redémarre, les choses seront toujours brisées. Je ne suis pas sûr des étapes 7 et 8. Ils peuvent ne pas être nécessaires, mais je l'ai fait en essayant de comprendre ce qui ne va pas, donc en les incluant ici au cas où.

  7. Ensuite, exécutez sudo gedit /etc/default/grub . Dans l'éditeur, searchz la ligne qui définit GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT et changez-la en:

    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT = "nomodeset"

  8. Maintenant, dans Terminal, exécutez ceci:

    sudo update-initramfs -u sudo mise à jour-grub2 sudo update-grub

  9. Maintenant, utilisez sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf pour éditer votre file X Config. Cette étape est sujette car il n'y a pas de bonne interface graphique pour éditer ce file de configuration et si vous faites une erreur et corrompt ce file – la prochaine fois que vous redémarrez – vous n'aurez plus d'interface graphique et peut-être même pas une console de travail. Faites d'abord une sauvegarde de ce file.     • Assurez-vous que la section «ServerLayout» ne définit que l'écran 0. Il ne doit pas y avoir de lignes définissant «Écran 1». Si vous avez une telle ligne – supprimez-le.
    • Dans la section "Ecran", assurez-vous que:
      • MultiGPU est désactivé
      • SLI est activé
      • SLIMosaic est vrai
      • BaseMosaic est vrai
  10. Redémarrez une dernière fois. Quand vous reviendrez, Cinnamon devrait fonctionner à nouveau et tous vos 3 moniteurs fonctionneront à nouveau. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser l'interface graphique des parameters NVIDIA pour configurer les résolutions et les positions / rotations de l'écran, etc …
